Civil Engineering Technologist The Opportunity: : McElhanney has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated individuals to join our team as a Civil Engineering Technologist in Kelowna, BC.

What You’ll Be Doing: Assist in the production of engineering designs and drawings that meet all client and approval agency requirements and standards Transform preliminary concepts and sketches into engineering designs, plans and project informational requirements, using primarily Civil 3D, as well as other technical software as needed Coordinate the preparation of documents required for approvals, prepare development and construction cost estimates and tender documents and contracts, and coordinate with other team members to ensure schedules, budgets and quality control standards are achieved Identify field and design issues and facilitate corrective measures Liaise with contractor, client and affected stakeholders during construction operations Maysupervise and/or provide training and mentorship to junior technical staff What You’ll Bring: Diploma in Civil Engineering or Drafting Technology – 0 – 5 years of experience in a similar role for junior candidates – 6 – 10 years of experience in a similar role for intermediate candidates Registration as an AScT, or other technical accreditation, is an asset Proficiency in Civil 3D Software is essential Attention to detail and excellent communication skills (verbal & written); ability to produce accurate field notes Ability to work independently and also within a busy and high-performing team What Can We Offer You?: Flexible work hours to accommodateyour lifestyle Great benefits, including extended health & dental coverage, healthcare spending account, & RRSP matching Maternity leave top-up and parental leave Competitive salary and participation in our generous Performance Bonus Plan Financial assistance with relocation if applicable A workplace culture that is characterized by respect and inclusion for all Continuous support for your professional development and growth Employee and Family assistance program, which offers24/7 support for all employees and their families either online or over the phone Participation in our numerous programs that support our Four Cornerstones: people & communities, clients & partners, processes & technology, and financial.
