JOB OVERVIEW The Strategic Services Branch supports the Division’s strategic planning process, legislation, policy, service delivery, and system implementations, stakeholder relations and, optimization and modernization of services.

The Manager, Policy/Program Implementation provides policy interpretations that are applied to support service delivery of the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction programs.

This position is also responsible for leading teams that deliver projects and initiatives related to the implementation of legislative and policy changes.

As a Manager, Policy/Program Implementation, you will work both independently examining policy and collaboratively consulting with colleagues and leading projects.

Job Requirements: In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below: Post-Secondary Degree in a related field such as Business Administration, Public Administration or Social Sciences AND two (2) years’ related experience; OR Post-Secondary Diploma in a related field such as Business Administration, Public Administration or Social Sciences AND four (4) years’ related experience; OR Secondary School Diploma or GED equivalent AND six (6) years’ related experience; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Related experience must include: Leading the implementation of policies and legislation, development of practices, and review of legislation from an operational perspective.

Researching and interpreting policies and preparing summaries and recommendations for various audiences.

Leading projects and change management processes; managing stakeholder relationships.

Preferences Preference may be given to applicants that have experience working with BC Employment Assistance legislation and policies.
