BROKERLINK: Account Executive, Commercial Insurance


This is a Full-time position in Sarnia, ON posted July 28, 2020.

We have an opening for anAccount Executive to join our Commercial Insurance team working from our Sarnia office in Ontario.Position Summary:In this role you will be responsible for sales, prospecting, and servicing a commercial lines book of business and related personal lines policies.

You will develop and maintain a meaningful list of prospective customers, close sales in the commercial area, and provide excellent and timely customer service.

This would include acting as a liaison between the customer and the insurance carrier when there may be claims.Primary Responsibilities:Sell commercial insurance policiesDevelop and maintain a prospect listBuild and maintain excellent customer relationships, including visiting customer sitesKeep abreast of market knowledge, products, and pricing issues and opportunitiesPrepare proposals, and arrange for account placement with the insurance carriersGather and document relevant information to ensure the customer receives the appropriate coverage’s and serviceMaintain good quality in the book of business by adhering to underwriting rules and good business practices Arrange payment terms for new business sales and the timely collection of paymentsSupport customers with the claims process Skills and Experience:High school and/or post-secondary educationSales or similar experienceExcellent customer service and sales skillsExceptional interpersonal and communication skillsWe thank all applicants for their interest, but only those selected for an interview will be contacted.At BrokerLink, we know there’s more to your decision about where you work than just the work itself.
