ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY: We are currently looking for an experienced Territory Manager to join our team, and support our Sarnia / Chatham sales territory.The Territory Manager is key in the responsibility of building customer relationships with new and existing clients to increase sales opportunities, maximize revenue, ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and retain business.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, this position is responsible for: Generating new business by pursuing sales leads and following up on referrals.

Acting as a front-line representative, supporting existing clients to ensure ongoing satisfaction and business retention.

Interacting and responding to customer inquiries in an effective manner to meet their needs and demonstrating strong support and guidance.

Working closely with our service and customer support staff to ensure that we continue to meet and exceed the needs of our diverse range of customers.

Maintaining accurate reports with respect to sales activities.

Participating in industry, charity or community functions / events on behalf of the company, occasionally during evenings or weekends.

Supporting all areas of operation including propane, fuels and lubricants.

ABOUT YOU: The ideal candidate will have: Post-secondary education or significant industry expertise.

Sales experience; industrial/agriculturalexposure would be beneficial.

Familiarity with propane, fuels and lubricants along with knowledge of the industry’s regulatory and safety requirements, would be beneficial.

Strong organizational and business-related skills to promote a multi-product line.

Self-direction and possess excellent time management skills.This includes the ability to work independently with a strong sense of motivation to succeed in a competitive marketplace.

Strong communication and customer service abilities to effectively build positive relations with customers and peers.

Specific or technical expertise, however, training is available.

Computer systems experience, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, and willingness to learn other programs.

A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.

A willingness to work in external environments.By extension, a clean driving record is a necessity.

A responsive and positive work attitude, professional and the desire to excel at sales.

Ability to work flexible hours.Hours of work are based on the needs of the business in relation to the hours of branch operation, customer specific needs and seasonal variations.
