Job Description Managing overall Automobile relationship for the TD Insurance Automobile Preferred partner network in the Calgary area and Southern Alberta, including the responsibility of the vendor relationship and oversight of the TDI Auto centres in Calgary.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Customer Manage vendor relationship to business’ goals and objectives, understanding and reconciling competing priorities and evolving business requirements Evaluate vendor performance and ensure the prompt and thorough resolution or escalation of performance issues, understanding/managing risks associated with customer facing/impacting vendors Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal TD partners and vendor(s) to ensure business priorities requirements are clearly understood and met, and objectives are aligned Understand contractual terms and conditions in order to effectively manage vendor agreement(s) and relationship(s) Ultimately responsible for delivery of effective vendor relationship; including service/product delivery, VM governance, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives Takes a proactive role in customer complaint process including facilitating resolution through the vendor Business Operations Develop understanding of technical/business aspects of vendor services, in order to identify synergies, seek continuous improvement opportunities and implement initiatives to drive savings, pursue efficiencies, and increase capacity Support/participate in the resolution of enterprise-level risk and compliance issues related to the vendor ensure vendor compliance to internal policy Support the identification and development of process-improvement strategies to generate efficiencies and maintain oversight of vendor performance; including vendor performance management, reporting disciplines and remediation plans to address issues highlighted at the vendor level Understanding fundamentals of vendor services in order to support effective manage the relationship(s) Implement initiatives to drive savings, pursue efficiencies, and increase capacity Draw on knowledge and expertise of supply market and vendor(s) to provide decisive support/guidance/input as appropriate for the purpose of vendor analysis, strategic planning, and selection Deliver performance results to the preferred vendors and ensuring appropriate business decisions are made with regards to vendor priority, performance improvement plans and / or supporting decisions to terminate relationships Financial Assist with Strategic Sourcing to support strategies designed to standardize/centralize sourcing activity, reduce the cost of goods and services Monitoring the tracking of service credits &/or penalties against vendor performance in accordance with contract commitments Conduct regular audit of vendor invoices/estimates and facilitate the resolution/escalation of invoice or credit-related issues in accordance with contract terms and conditions Understand the vendor agreements, scope of services, and contractual obligations, and track financial commitments and compliance Employee / Team Understand and work towards a shared team/business vision Coach, lead and mentor team members, providing regular performance assessments to employees and their people managers Participate fully as a member of the team and contribute to a positive work environment Contributes to an environment of continuous learning, including the sharing of experience and learning across team members, peers, TD partners, and management as appropriate Adhere to established guidelines of conduct Requirements Effective and confident negotiation ability when dealing with Vendors Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external clients Maintain positive morale and demonstrate team spirit Understanding and knowledge of Master Services Agreements and Service Level Agreements Results oriented and possesses excellent analytical skills Strong performance management and coaching capabilities Exceptional organizational and time management skills Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment Experience with Mitchell Estimating System is considered an asset Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote) Ability to manipulate and analyze data with excel, to create/review reports and determine action plans Formal training/experience specific with Automobile Physical Damage Insurance experience / background is an asset Possess a valid Driver’s License, maintained in good standing Hours 35 Inclusiveness At TD, we are committed to fostering an inclusive, accessible environment, where all employees and customers feel valued, respected and supported.
